General setting parameters can be set in this section. Settings are divided into sections and you need to click on the corresponding icon to select the section. Descriptions of each section are given further:


Name of the website – Enter the name of your website, such as «My Homepage».


Homepage of the website – Enter the URL to the Homepage, without a file name, for example Note that a slash at the end is required.


E-Mail address of the administrator –  The address which will be used by the system to send all the messages from the server to users.


Website template by default – Select the skin that will be used to display your website by default.


Language – Select the default language that will be used to display all the system messages.


Number of news per page – Specify how many articles will be displayed when viewing the articles annotations.


Enable WYSIWYG editor for adding articles - When users add articles on the website they can use WYSIWYG editor or BBCODES. Please note that your template has been configured accordingly.


Enable WYSIWYG editor for Administration Panel - Enables this editor for Administration Panel.


Enable WYSIWYG editor for comments and personal messages  - When users add comments on the website they can use WYSIWYG editor or BBCODES. Please note that your template has been configured accordingly.


Automatic division of long words – Enter the maximum number of characters in a single word. With the excess of this value the long word will be automatically transferred to the new line. This function is necessary to prevent long words from spoiling the overall website design.


Flooding protection – The number of seconds after which it will be allowed to post the next comment.


Emoticons – Specify emoticons separated by commas which will be used to add articles and comments.


Time zone correction – Specified in minutes. It is necessary to synchronize the server time to your time based on your time zone. If you time is less than the server time then negative values are also permitted.


Automatic reduction of the uploaded image – The maximum length of one side of uploaded image. If any side exceeds the specified value horizontally or vertically, then the image will be reduced to this value with the original aspect ratio.


Time format for news – The format of publication date of the article.


Enable Gzip compression – Enables compressed data transfer to save traffic.


Hide a link to the full article – Hides the link to the full article if there is no full article.


Comments for registered users – If «Yes» is chosen, then only registered users could leave comments.


Allow to edit comments – If «Yes» is chosen, then users could edit their comments. Administrator can always edit comments.


Allow to delete comments - If «Yes» is chosen then users could delete their comments.


Time format for the comments - The format of publication date of the comment.


Enable user-friendly URL - If «Yes» is chosen then user-friendly URL is supported.


Allow news fixation - If «Yes» is chosen then news could be fixed when added. This feature is accessible for Administrators only.


Enable caching on the website - If «Yes» is chosen then page caching will be enabled. Thus the website of the website will be partially lost until the cache will not be refreshed. This feature is recommended for websites with a large traffic.


Enable voting on the website - If «Yes» is chosen then voting module will be enabled.


Enable news views counter - If «Yes» is chosen then counter will be enabled which indicates the number of views for each page.


Enable calendar - If «Yes» is chosen then calendar will be displayed on the page. Disabling the calendar allows you to save a database query.


Enable archives - If «Yes» is chosen then monthly archive will be displayed. Disabling the calendar allows you to save a database query.


Enable registration on the website - If «Yes» is chosen then users will be allowed to register on the website. Disabling this feature allows you to save 2 database queries so disable it if you don't need users registration on your website.


Registration method - There are two methods: simplified and advanced. With advanced method the provided e-mail address will be checked. The user will have to activate his/her account.


Allow users to change the website skin – If you have installed few skins on the website, then your visitors will be able to choose the one they like.


The maximum number of registered users – Maximum allowable number of users to register. If you specify 0, the registration will be carried out without limitations.


Automatically delete registered users – The number of days after which the user will be deleted if he/she did not visit the website. If you specify 0, there won't be any restrictions.


Photo size – The maximum size of any side of a user profile photo. If exceeded, this parameter will automatically change this picture to specified size while maintaining the aspect ratio.


Allow overlaying the watermark – Watermark will be overlaid on all the images if this feature is enabled.


Minimal size for overlaying the watermark – Required image size to apply the watermark. If its size is less than specified, then watermark will not be applied.


Allow users to upload images  - You can allow or deny users to upload images when they add articles on your website.


Maximum image size  - If you allowed your users to upload images to the server, you can limit the maximum amount of images.


Auto-clear images - If a visitor has uploaded a picture, but did not add it to the article, it will be deleted after a specified number of days.


Compression quality of .jpg image - Quality of compression of the .jpeg image when uploaded to the server.
